Shoot 2 evaluation
For my
second shoot I shot around the Laceby and Caistor area which is where I initially
wanted to shoot my first shoot I shot here due to the hills and many fields
that litter the landscape, I primarily looked for a rapeseed fields which was
near or on a hill so that I would have a vantage point in order to get some
landscape shots of the area. While driving to the area the sky went grey and
cloudy this meant the images I took are darker than those of my first shoot and
means that I had to brighten them up in editing.
While I
did find a field which was partially on a hill the problem of how to frame the
field with the bottles of oil arose, I tried to get around this by balancing a
wooden fruit bowl upside down on my tripod then placing the bottles on the flat
surface in order to get both the field and oil in shot. However, when trying to
then balance the picnic basket with oil on the surface I could only get a few
shots before the basket fell off the makeshift podium. Due to the weather I didn’t
get the desired results from this shoot however I feel I have some good shots
in editing which I will be able to use as some final pieces after further editing.
Tacked
on to the end of this shoot was a couple of kitchen shots similar to my test
shoot, this time I shot the food after it had been cooked with the oil of the
side of the shot with some rapeseed from a field.
