KitchenAid
These advertisements
are from and advertisement campaign for KitchenAid’s products by the
advertising agency DDB. The campaign uses different styles of art throughout
the years such as pop art, surrealism, modern art and art nouveau.
The pop art advertisement
is similar to my theme as I will be editing my images in a pop art style and
taking inspiration from a variety of different pop art artists.
For this
advert it shows the product in a variety of different coloured panels with each
mixer also being a different colour, with most colours contrasting with the background
such as red on green, which resembles some of Andy Warhol’s work such as Marilyn.
The
images of the mixer look like drawings due to the sketch lines overlaying the
angled images of the mixer, the sketch lines could be something that I
experiment with when editing my images, but I feel that it may not look as good
as other techniques such as halftones.
I think that by styling the product after pop art as well as other art movements is a effective way of advertising this product due to its unique look compared to other advertisements of similar products.
